In this 2,5-day practical seminar, Mr Dauben (formerly of HERAEUS KULZER) will teach the basics of Metallography Sample preparation. This seminar will enable you to prepare metallographic samples without errors in order to carry out hardness testing, microstructure analysisto be able to carry out weld seam documentation.
The focus of the seminar is deliberately on practical handling: after a short theoretical part, the practical part begins in the morning - which fills the entire rest of the seminar.

Seminar Day 2

- Cold embedding using HERAEUS KULZER products
- warm embedding
- Cold embedding: light-curing Plastic (blue light)
- Teamwork
- cold embedding / light curing / hot embedding
Two embedding presses are available for the exercises:
ECOPRESS 52 – an automatic program
ECOPRESS 102 – 25 programmable programs
- grinding and polishing
- using HERMES sandpaper
- using diamond grinding wheels
- using diamond abrasives, lubricants, and various polishing cloths
There are 3 grinding and polishing machines available for the exercises:
FORCIPOL grinding machines / polishing machines
Seminar Day 3
08: 30 - 12: 00 h
- Grinding and polishing (continuation of the practical exercises from the previous day)

After receiving your registration you will receive a confirmation and an invoice.
Course withdrawal/deregistration: The seminar involves considerable organizational effort on the part of the participants and SCHÜTZ+LICHT. Participants sometimes book flights for their journey that cannot be canceled. We therefore ask for your understanding that we cannot accept cancellation of participation shortly before the start of the seminar.
Therefore, cancellations must be made in writing. Irrespective of the statutory right of cancellation, we grant a cancellation period of 21 days before the start of the event. In this case, we will refund 90% of the course fee. If you cancel later, do not show up or end your participation early, no refund will be made. In all cases, the date of receipt of the cancellation is decisive.
It is possible to name substitute participants.
