Solve complex testing tasks

Even complex testing tasks can be carried out with the complete software without additional modules, e.g. COD test - crack expansion (Fig. 1). For example, a hysteresis test was designed and carried out for the GSI SLV Duisburg welding technology training and testing institute using the standard LabTest software. In this test, a K1C sample that was swung on a dynamic machine was tested with the Quasar 50 kN universal testing machine. The sample was loaded with an increase in strain (reference value strain gauge / extensometer) of 75 µm per hysteresis loop until the force gradient became negative.

Drum peel test (Figures 2 and 3) In this test, a cover layer that is glued to a composite (honeycomb) of a CFRP sandwich is wound onto a drum. The rotating movement pulls the cover layer off the honeycomb and the bond is released. Since the stiffness of the cover layer is included in the measured values ​​of the loading and unloading curve, the universal testing machine moves downwards after a defined distance and then upwards again. A horizontal graph is created below the hysteresis. Since there is no longer any bonding, the lower part of the curve represents the stiffness of the cover layer alone (movement downwards and back up again). The average value of these forces (stiffness) can now be subtracted from the overall result of the oscillation values ​​using the integrated formula editor: This gives the pure adhesion values ​​of the bond without cover layer stiffness forces.
