Mounting press / hot mounting press ECOPRESS
Types 102 | 202 fully automatic mounting presses
In the hot mounting presses series ECOPRESS These are easy-to-use, fully automatic embedding presses with an integrated electro-hydraulic pump (no compressed air required). The robust bayonet lock allows the press cylinder to be opened and closed efficiently. Press cylinders with a diameter of 25 / 30 / 40 / 50 mm (option: inch) are available according to customer requirements. With an intermediate piston, 2 samples (types 52 / 102) or 4 samples (type 202) can be embedded at the same time.
mounting press ECOPRESS 52 – 1 cylinder, electronic control 1 program can be saved
mounting presses ECOPRESS 102 – 1 cylinder, SIEMENS PLC control < 25 embedding sequences. The self-explanatory operating software can be programmed in seconds using the 7″ touchscreen – including sequence cooling for embedding in clear acrylic – avoids “cloud formation”
mounting presses ECOPRESS 202 – 2 cylinders – individually usable, otherwise like type 102

TECHNOMAT – Pressure pot for cold embedding
Polymerization without blistering and odor pollution
The TECHNOMAT is a compact pressure vessel for suppressing the outgassing of cold embedding agents. The pressure is applied at 2,0 bar. The device housing is made of Makrolon plastic. The pressure vessel is made of INOX steel. The TECHNOMAT is designed for the technology of fast-curing plastics and does not affect the physical and chemical properties of the plastics. By curing the plastics under pressure, bubble-free and therefore higher-quality embeddings are produced. Using the Technomat produces optimal embedding results when embedding with fast-curing cold embedding agents. The formation of bubbles is effectively suppressed, particularly with transparent materials such as Technovit 4004 and 4006 (where the formation of bubbles would be particularly disruptive due to the optical requirements). The outgassing in the closed pressure vessel also protects the user from the sometimes unpleasant smells during polymerization.
VACUMET – vacuum vacuum device
for bubble-free cold embedding
The VACUMET vacuum device was developed for the embedding and impregnation of porous materials. It removes the trapped air from the investment material and enables gap-free embedding between the sample and the embedding resin. Most mineralogical samples are porous and have air pockets and cracks and therefore have to be embedded under vacuum. The VACUMET meets this requirement simply and efficiently. In addition, the VACUMET can also be used to bond the samples to microscope slides. In this way, a sample for thin sections can be easily bonded to a glass slide.
NOT suitable for 2-component cold embedding – use light-curing resins
The VACUMET device is a free-standing device. It has a pneumatic vacuum pump that generates a vacuum of up to -0,65 bar. The current vacuum is displayed on a vacuum gauge. The device is very simple and efficient to use. It is delivered ready for use including a test kit of consumables and a set of tools for casting epoxy plastic embeddings. We also recommend the following as a starter set:
- mixing bowl
- wooden spatula for mixing
- Embedding molds made of Plastic can be opened on both sides for easy squeezing of the solidified sample
- epoxy resin and hardener
