These products deliver first-class finishes with excellent edge sharpness and minimal scratching. At the same time, you benefit from significant cost savings: the lifespan of the diamond sanding pads is equivalent to approximately 5–7 packs of high-quality sandpaper. Furthermore, the frequent changing of sandpaper, which is often worn out after just a few minutes, especially in coarse grit, is eliminated. This not only saves on material costs but also considerably reduces the time required. Result: Higher quality, lower costs and significantly more efficient processes.

Sandpaper is a thing of the past – better and cheaper grinding with diamond/SiC grinding wheels.

from PUREON are the efficient solution for fine and surface grinding of hard materials with a hardness above 40 HRC. This in Plastic Bonded diamond grit constantly replenishes itself through material abrasion, ensuring the pad remains consistently sharp until the end of its lifespan. Once the wear limit is reached, the light-colored base becomes visible. The pads are delivered "closed" and must be opened with a dressing stone before first use – after which they retain their full sharpening performance permanently.
Thanks to their uniform grain distribution, these pads achieve consistent grinding performance, excellent surface quality, and a long service life. A single diamond grinding pad replaces up to 500 to 1000 sheets of sandpaper or five to ten packs of conventional SiC paper, significantly reducing costs, waste, and the time-consuming process of changing pads. This makes them ideal for precise and reproducible grinding results on hard metals and materials.

... for materials with a hardness <40 HRC we recommend using SiC sanding pads. If (contrary to experience) soft material (cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.) closes the pores, the pad can be cleaned with a nail brush + fresh water (on the sander). Cost advantage: approx. 200 - 500 sandpapers
Expect more: The rigid surface prevents edge rounding (no bulging/“bow wave” like with sandpaper). The edge sharpness is better, the surface finish is flatter. It is no Lubricant required – it is sanded and polished exclusively with water. The plastic is applied to a stable, magnetic steel plate with a smooth back: Suitable for clamping systems with magnetic foil. (Alternatively, a smooth backing is available for adhesive systems.)

Technovit® 4002 IQ – The absolutely gap- and shrink-free 2-component plastic
Material properties:
Technovit® 4002 IQ is based on a modified polyester, consisting of either a fast or a slow powder component (different curing and dripping times) and a liquid.
Application:
The areas of application extend across the entire range of materials with a wide variety of geometric shapes where high quality in terms of edge gap, grinding and polishing behavior is required.

For an even wider range of applications
Technovit 4002 IQ white – (slow powder approx. 12 – 17 min.), provides sufficient drip time e.g. for infiltrating porous surfaces
Technovit 4002 IQ green – (faster powder approx. 9 – 15 min.), serves for more efficient sample preparation and enables time savings.
Both powder variants can be easily wetted, thus creating a homogeneous mass without air inclusions.
