VELOX 102-JR: Fully automatic grinding and polishing system for large sample quantities
The fully automatic, programmable grinding and polishing system VELOX 102-JR was developed for the Unattended sample preparation with high sample throughput developed, from surface grinding to fine grinding, polishing, cleaning, and drying. Simply place the sample holders in the feed system, select the appropriate program, and start the process at the touch of a button. Everything else happens automatically: The samples are prepared for analysis completely without manual intervention.
During operation, up to 6 sample holders can be queued to provide a continuous and uninterrupted sample preparation to allow.

More efficient preparation with consistent quality
The requirements for preparation quality remain high: The surface of a sample must not be affected by grinding and polishing and must have a completely flat, scratch-free structure. However, the manual effort required for this can now be significantly reduced: With the VELOX 102-JR you can automate the entire grinding and polishing process reliably, reproducibly and without operator intervention.
What changes is the effort you have to put into the proper preparation of the samples in the Metallography have to spend. METKON has been offering automated cutting machines, automatic mounting presses and semi-automated Grinding and polishing machines With the VELOX 102-JR, even the most complex step—grinding and polishing—is now fully automated.
The integrated storage space can hold up to twelve prepared sample holders (for single or central force), each equipped with six embedded samples. Operation of the system is limited to changing the sample holders in seconds and starting the automatic grinding and polishing processes.
For continuous, unattended processing, METKON on particularly durable diamond grinding wheels and high-quality polishing cloths for long-term use. If your company already has knowledge of sample preparation, training on the machine only takes about 30 minutes. short processing time of only about 12-15 minutes (depending on the setting) approximately 6 embedded samples can be processed with excellent quality in one shift (when using a 180-fold sample holder).
