Highlights Vickers testers FALCON 450 G2

Stand-alone device with 6-way turret head

What do these Vickers testers offer you?

The FALCON 450 (together with its smaller sister model, the FALCON 400) covers the need for a simple Vickers tester. The types in the 450 (and 400) series differ from higher-end models in that no motorized focusing (spindle feed of the Z-axis) is available. In addition, these types are all available with an advanced but simple i-Touch display (small touch panel next to the machine). In conjunction with an electronic viewing eyepiece, this electronics shows the hardness value after the diagonal measurement. Vickers (or Brinell) and is used for convenient, intuitive control of the Vickers tester.

Note: A viewing measuring eyepiece is the cheapest option. We recommend equipping it with the IMPRESSIONS video measuring system.

These basic devices can (should) be equipped with a video measuring system including the leading IMPRESSIONS testing software (with automatic hardness indentation measurement via image processing).
For even greater convenience and rationalization, a semi-automation system can be supplied (motorized XY table) to automatically set and measure the test impressions.

Since no motorized Z-axes are available for the FALCON 400 and 450 series, please choose the FALCON 600 series for a fully automatic machine. These higher-quality machines include a motorized Z-axis (focusing) and even an overview camera (automated testing at multiple locations / test sequences) as standard.

The Vickers tester FALCON 450 has (compared to the type FALCON 400)

  • a larger test chamber height (FALCON 450 = 260 mm | FALCON 400 = 170 mm)
  • a higher maximum test force (FALCON 450 = 62,5 kgf | FALCON 400 =31,25 kgf)
  • Focusing via handwheel on the spindle (FALCON400 = fine drive on the side)
