This exceptional hardness testing machine consists of an extremely stable machine stand with a radial arm on which a specially developed test head is mounted. This heavy-dutyhardness tester is extremely flexible in its use: The boom is moved radially to place a test piece in the test chamber using a crane or forklift. Test procedure:

  • The test piece is positioned on the anvil / in the test chamber
  • The boom arm is roughly positioned radially, in the radius and vertically
  • The test procedure is triggered – the test head automatically lowers by up to 125 mm …

The test head is based on the technology of the NEMESIS 9000 series, but is designed for the toughest heavy loads:
Thanks to the enormous test space of 1500 mm height x 1500 mm projection, the NEMESIS 9800G2 is perfect for heavy and very large workpieces.

Type A test forces 0,5 – 250 kgf
Type B test forces 3 – 750 kgf
Type C test forces 5 – 3.000 kgf

This universal hardness tester covers all hardness testing methods for metals with a test force range of 0,5 to 3.000 kgf: Vickers, Knoop, Brinell and Rockwell.

The motor-driven lowering test head is equipped with a 9-way turret (tool changer). This can be individually equipped with lenses and indenters, additional force sensors, a cross laser for positioning and a button for automatically determining the working distance. The control is carried out entirely via the test head using the integrated IMPRESSIONS™ 4 hardness testing software, which can be operated via a 22″ HD touchscreen or via mouse and keyboard.
