One of the largest fields of application for the bending straightening machines developed and manufactured by GALDABINI is the automotive sector. GALDABINI straightening machines are used worldwide and are usually integrated into automated production lines.

If, for example, a rotationally symmetrical part has been hardened, the distortion caused by the heat treatment must be removed. The shafts, axles, camshafts or similar are placed in the machine using an appropriate feed system, where they are measured for concentricity and straightened at a point determined by the software. In most cases, these straightening machines are integrated into ongoing production. However, it is also possible to feed these machines manually and only have the straightening process carried out automatically. The pipe is first measured for straightness using touch systems or non-contact using a laser measuring system. Immediately afterwards, the supports/abutments are adjusted accordingly by the control system and the straightening process begins. The system can be expanded so that no operator intervention is required.

These are used to straighten the components shown below. The ring is placed horizontally, fixed with special clamping systems and the concentricity is measured precisely. Depending on the deformation, the straightening machine determines a suitable point to eliminate ovality or other deformations.
