Since 1970: Competent contact for tensile tests made of sheet metal
Punching | Punching tools | Tensile sample grinding machine
We are the market leader in machines for producing tensile specimens from sheet metal – and for good reason:
We know what we are talking about and have the best Know-how.
There are a few suppliers of presses and tools. But it is not about punching a hole in a sheet of metal, but about producing a tensile test specimen in such a way that it complies with the standards and the results are not grossly distorted by improper production. Even if you have the best (gold-plated) Tensile testing machine the world buys: The results of a tensile test are only as reliable as the quality of the sample.
You invest €50.000 or even €100.000 in a first-class tensile testing machine and think: Finally, we can determine the quality of the sheets correctly? Often, sample preparation is neglected and the samples are obviously produced incorrectly. Should you really carry out a tensile test if you don't know whether the results deviate 1% or 30% from the actual material properties? Read this Basic knowledgeWhy incorrect results can occur and which methods are suitable: advantages and disadvantages of different manufacturing processes.
No major company is missing from our supplier list. Customers say it is the “Who’s Who” for sheet metal products: steel manufacturers, rolling mills, galvanizing plants, semi-finished product manufacturers, stamping plants, automobile manufacturers, automobile components:

From the sheet metal to the perfect sheet metal sample - tensile test in less than 3 minutes! Our punches were specially developed for sample production in material testing. And no other company can offer you this: We adapt our systems exactly to your needs: Custom-made products are our standard. Our more than 50 years of experience have led to more solutions than we can present on our website. Others offer punches and punching tools - we offer solutions that save you work, are more affordable and the quality of the tensile test is unmatched.
Because one thing is certain: There have been several attempts to sample grinding machine to copy. So far, all manufacturers - including well-known companies - have failed and no longer offer this product due to constant customer complaints.
By limiting the technology to this one application, these punches could be designed so inexpensively that even used machines (with a larger stroke and greater flexibility...) are often more expensive than our new machines.
In recent years, there has been a trend towards significantly increasing the material strength of sheet metal using new alloys. The punching force required to punch higher-strength sheets has also increased accordingly. Punches with 1.000 or 1.200 kN (100 or 120 t) are now standard.
For several years now, the automotive sector has been in need of a solution to the problem of producing tensile specimens from sheet metal from hot forming / press hardening / tailored blanks / hot forming. We also offer special solutions for this, which are already being used by a large number of companies – ask us!
Since not all sheet thicknesses can be punched with one tool (limits: 0,05 - 12 mm thickness), several sheet thickness ranges are required, which are designed individually according to customer requirements. For higher outputs (from 1.000 kN - 100 t) we have designed and supplied punches in a closed design in the past. By revising and checking these designs using the finite element method, optimized designs could be developed. The currently largest punching machine now has a punching force of 2.500 kN (250 t) and, thanks to its C-shape, offers the advantage of being able to punch from a sheet of unlimited size.
