In order to be able to deliver the machines described above with a CE declaration of conformity (personal protection device), a protective cage is absolutely necessary. This can also be created by the user. In this case, the machine is delivered with a supplier declaration.
Option: The machine can be modernized with the PSW1530 modernization system. The machine is equipped with a rotary encoder, an electronics box and the corresponding WINDOWS software.
Please also note our notch clearing machine. This enables the introduction of a high-precision, standard-compliant notch within a few seconds. As far as we know, we are the only company in Germany / Europe that has a notch clearing machine for the installation of a notch.
pendulum impact machine modernization
By using conventional PC technology (also for displaying the measured values and impact energy), this system is a cost-effective modernization of pendulum impact testers. The software enables
- reading the measured value without having to "estimate" every value on the analog display
- archiving without having to write down the result (the results are "recorded" as quickly as you take the new samples)
An incremental rotary encoder is flanged to the axis of the pendulum impact tester. In order to operate the system in accordance with standards, the rotary encoder must have the appropriate resolution and be friction-free. For the modernization of pendulum impact testers, an incremental rotary encoder is adapted to the pendulum axis. 3600 pulses per revolution and additional 4-fold interpolation ensure extremely high measurement accuracy. Using an external electronics box with an intelligent counter and microcontroller, this solution can be connected to the PC via a USB interface. The test speed is now only determined by the speed of operation of the pendulum impact tester: the sample throughput is only hindered by the "slow" insertion of the samples.
Software: The included WINDOWS program processes the measured values and converts them into impact work. The results are saved in a database and can be quickly called up and printed again using a convenient filter. In addition to the integrated archiving, the results can be easily exported using an ASCII file (Txt format).
The standard-compliant report contains information about the pendulum impact tester, the sample shape, dimensions and results. In addition, 10 header data fields (freely definable by the user) are available. These can contain accompanying information about the order, test temperature, part number, material, tester, sample position, etc.
Special features: The system is configured in such a way that PC operation is not required between tests! The testing effort is reduced by:
- automatic determination, storage + printing of the measured values as a test report
- automatic averaging of impact energy + toughness
- Data export via ASCII / CSV for import into inventory management or QM systems
- Determination of energy loss according to the new standard ISO 148 from 2017-05
- Option: Query of sample temperature via RS232 serial interface
- Option: Query of sample dimension via RS232 serial interface: Caliper
Note: For rationalization, we also recommend paying attention to sample preparation. As far as we know, we are the only company in Germany / Europe that offers notch clearing machine for the installation of a notch.
