It is based in part on the technology of the NEMESIS 9000 series – but with a design for the toughest operating conditions. The machine body of this stationary machine consists of a heavy, welded housing and has a total height of 2 meters. It offers a maximum test chamber height of up to 650 mm and a projection of 300 mm (indenter to machine body). The machine can not only Brinell procedures but also Rockwell, Vickers and hardness tests can be carried out using the depth measurement method HVT and HBT (included in the standard NEMESIS 9600). Three models are available with the following test force ranges:
- NEMESIS 9601: Test forces between 1 – 250 kgf
- NEMESIS 9602: Test forces between 3 – 750 kgf
- NEMESIS 9603: Test forces between 10 – 3000 kgf
The NEMESIS 9600 hardness testing machines are equipped with a motorized heavy-duty spindle. This enables heavy workpieces to be positioned at the desired height. The equipment includes a downward-moving test head, which enables the workpiece to be tested at an ergonomic test room height. The linear actuator of the NEMESIS 9600 is equipped with a force measuring cell in a closed control loop. This equipment ensures that the desired test load is applied precisely without overshooting. In addition, a variety of quickly implemented hardness testing methods can be implemented. The test head is equipped with a modular turret head with 6 positions (indenter + lenses) and an optical zoom system as well as a high-resolution 5-megapixel camera. Together with the excellent testing software, automatic or manual measurement of the hardness test indentation with automatic data storage is possible. Sophisticated, optimized evaluation algorithms in optical image analysis enable normal testing as well as evaluations of special materials and substances that are normally unfavorable for automatic measurement.
